QD stands for Quique Dacosta, the Spanish chef whose eponymous Dénia restaurant is a previous winner of OAD’s Top European Restaurants. Super-stylish Arros QD, near Oxford Street, celebrates paella in a dozen different variations, including Valencian with rabbit and chicken or crab with kimchi foam. The paellas are cooked traditionally over a six-meter wood fire at the heart of the restaurant, whole turbot and Cornish beef tomahawks too. Paella calls for wine, perhaps a rare Spanish label exclusive to the restaurant.
