Asador Donostiarra

This restaurant, popular with media personalities and players for Real Madrid, is most representative of the Basque grill experience. The extensive menu is filled with traditional recipes that aren’t easy to find outside of the region. There are green baby beans served with clams, kokotxas (hake cheese) in a pil-pil sauce or peppers stuffed with oxtail. Meat dishes run from traditional grills like a rib of beef from an old dairy cow to grilled venison with a mushroom cream sauce. The homemade cakes and desserts are highly recommended.
