Hidden away in a commuter town on the outskirts of Milan is one of the best meat restaurants in the whole of Italy. While most people tend to associate the idea of great meat with Japanese wagyu beef, Spanish vaca vieja or American T-bone steak (and although you won’t find any shortage of those here), Asina Luna has a carefully curated selection of lesser-known Italian meats, like a tartare made with vicciola (a Piedmontese calf fed with hazelnuts) or “Fiorentina” steak from grass-fed, pasture-raised beef of the Varvara Brothers farms in Altamura, Apulia.
