Ever since the first Barrafina opened in Soho in 2007, long lines have snaked from its doors. The no-reservations restaurant, which now has five sites in London, is still turning out some of the best tapas and Spanish food in the city. Barcelona native Angel Zapata Martin took over as chef from founder Nieves Barragan Mohacho in 2017, and the offerings, like golden, oozing tortillas, pan con tomate or lemon sole with chorizo and pluma iberica, are all prepared in an open kitchen, with guests looking on while sipping their copas of sherry.
