Kian Samyani’s energetic Soho restaurant, in partnership with JKS, combines the traditions of Persian home cooking with those of Tehran’s hole-in-the-wall kebab shops. Bring a group or grab a seat at the counter for taftoon flatbread swiped through black chickpea hummus or smoky eggplant kashk e bademjoon. Larger dishes include saffron-marinated jujeh kebabs and ghormeh sabzi lamb stew with kidney beans and dried lime. Choose a traditional sharbat or one of a handful of Middle Eastern wines. A second branch opened in Borough in 2022.
