Berners Tavern

Jason Atherton’s Berners Tavern is the dining room at the London Edition Fitzrovia, open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. It’s a swish place, with ornate molded ceilings, sculptural chandeliers and art-covered walls. The general theme is old-school favorites, rebooted. Thus, prawn cocktail with lobster jelly and avocado wasabi purée; mac ’n’ cheese with lobster or braised beef; and char siu pork chop, with hispi cabbage and hunter sauce. The global wine list includes Coravin pours, English fizz and drops from China, India, even Poland.
