Big Easy

Many Londoners will have had their first taste of American barbecue at Big Easy Bar B.Q & Crabshack, which opened in 1991. The family-run group now has five sites, including big ones in Covent Garden and Canary Wharf. The concept’s a celebration of surf and turf, both together and apart. Lobster, flown in thrice weekly from Nova Scotia, comes in a roll, or with chips, sirloin or St. Louis cut ribs. Beef is British or USDA prime only. From the pit come baby back ribs, pulled pork or brisket, cooked low and slow over English oak. Boozy brunches at the weekend.
