The Wolseley Hospitality Group’s homage to the Parisian café occupies a plum corner site on Sloane Square by the Royal Court Theatre. From 8:00 a.m. daily, it’s a hive of activity as the first of the day’s guests arrive for coffee, croissants and omelettes aux fines herbes. Thereafter, it’s a carousel of salade niçoise, steak frites, oysters, éclairs, croque monsieurs and escargots until it’s time for cognac and adieux. The vintage posters, checkerboard tiles and fin de siècle curves could be in a movie.
