One of the most popular restaurants in the city, Corte Sconta (“hidden court,” in Venetian dialect) is a reference point for the cooking of Venice. Located only a few steps from the Arsenal, it offers traditional dishes prepared with fresh products. Dishes like cuttlefish-ink spaghetti and Venetian-style tuna are served on paper tablecloths in a friendly atmosphere. The service is professional, and you can dine on the outdoor patio in good weather. A good place to enjoy moeche, fried local softshell crabs when they are in season.
