DaZero – slang in Italian for “made from scratch” – opened in 2014 in the Cilento region of Campania. Now with branches in Milan, Turin, Bologna and Florence, the ties to its birthplace are still very strong: the whole ethos of DaZero is a reverence for the Mediterranean diet and especially the best products of Cilento. It’s hard to choose from the long list of pizzas, which includes six different Margheritas (such as yellow datterini tomato purée, provola cheese and black pepper) and a selection of fried pizzas, like the Cilentana, with Cilento sauce, goat cacioricotta and basil.
