Dishoom kings cross

The cult of Dishoom is a true phenomenon. The Raj-themed Indian fast-casual restaurant now has seven branches, although the shabbily ornate Shoreditch one, with its cocktail bar and sun terrace, remains the best. Executive chef Naved Nasir, who trained at Delhi’s best hotel restaurant, Bukhara, has been with Dishoom since the first branch opened in 2010. His menu cleverly fuses British staples with Bombay flavors – breakfast naan filled with Shropshire sausage or streaky bacon; creamy black daal; lamb raan buns. Expect a line.
