E5 Bakehouse is a busy, bustling bakery and café in Hackney and then some. Having started selling loaves in 2010, it’s developed into a progressive, ethically minded business with its own off-grid farm growing heritage cereals, an on-site mill and a refugee-training programme. Pop by for a loaf of Hackney Wild sourdough, pain au chocolat, a rhubarb and custard galette, or a rustic lunch of soup and a toastie with a glass of natty wine.
