El Pegoli

Located in Les Rotes, a beautiful natural enclave on the outskirts of Dénia, this famous restaurant was founded in 1943 by the legendary Pepe Riera. Still run by his family, it continues to specialize in a Mediterranean cuisine that features the wonderful local seafood and shellfish products found in the region. There’s a terrace overlooking the sea, an ideal spot to enjoy an aperitif before the meal. Highly recommended are the red shrimp from Dénia, gigantic local squid cooked on the grill or arroz a banda, rice cooked with seafood.
