Gun, The
London, United Kingdom
This historic riverside pub in Docklands was once the site of clandestine assignations between Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton. These days, it’s more the place for a gathering of friends and family over proper pub grub or a pint by the Thames. Taken over by Fuller’s in 2016, it’s particularly lively on Sundays, when whole roast chickens and roast beef sirloin with Yorkshire pudding are the order of the day. Other good things include black-pudding scotch eggs and chip butties.
