Kricket Soho

Small plates get an Indian-inspired makeover at Kricket in Soho, one of a now three-strong group of buzzy new-wave Indian restaurants co-founded by chef Will Bowlby (Le Café Anglais, Khyber Mumbai). Bowlby gives the lie to the notion that you have to be Indian to cook Indian food. His menus, served at the long kitchen counter, are packed with seasonal flavors, in such offerings as samphire pakoras, Mangalorean mussel sukka or confit duck leg, black dal and pear mustard fruits, though the signature fried chicken and curry leaf mayo is on year-round. Soma, the bar downstairs, is good for a cocktail afterward.
