Lady of the Grapes

The aim of Lady of the Grapes, an organic wine bar and restaurant in Covent Garden, is to highlight the female winemakers in a male-dominated industry. On her list of 350+ organic, biodynamic, natural wines, French owner Carole Bryon shines a light on some names you may well know – Fanny Sabre, Elisabetta Foradori, Arianna Occhipinti – as well as many you won’t. The list is fast-moving; at any one time, she’ll have 35 on by the glass, to go with Gallic small plates like whole barbecued quail, celeriac rémoulade or cod cheeks with sauce vierge.
