Le Gavroche
London, United Kingdom
Le Gavroche, founded by the late Roux brothers in 1967, is considered London’s last bastion of French classical cuisine. Michel Roux Jr. has been at the helm since 1991, continuing the tradition of serving refined but unapologetically rich haute cuisine, such as the signature soufflé suissesse, and seasonal luxuries, such as butter-poached lobster with fresh pasta, creamed lobster sauce and asparagus or roast squab pigeon with stuffed gem lettuce and liver farce. The white tablecloths, deferential service and vintage French wines with some age to them befit the historic address.
