At the five star Alter Meierhof in Glücksburg on the Baltic coast, culinary director Dirk Luther and executive chef Sebastian Buchta present elegant French cuisine. Dishes include Flensburg smoked eel fillet with chive scrambled eggs, toasted Flensburg bread, and freshly grated horseradish, marinated slices of Faroe Island salmon with caviar cream, spinach salad, and potato pancakes and whole braised Poltinger lamb knuckle with gremolata jus, bean cassoulet and confit potato. The wine list is extensive, highlighting German Rieslings, Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Champagne.
