Northcote

Northcote (they dropped Manor), now a Stafford Collection Hotel (see also: The Game Bird), has been one of the most esteemed names in northern hospitality since the 1980s. Since Nigel Haworth moved on in 2017, Lisa Goodwin-Allen has flown the flag for regional produce, on five-course gourmet and seasonal set menus of such dishes as pork with black, white and wild garlic, and ChalkStream trout, barley seaweed cracker, spring onion and orange. France – Burgundy, in particular – leads the garlanded wine list.
