This extension of Vicente Castelló’s popular Nou Manolín has become one of the most popular restaurants in Alicante. The exceptional seafood is sourced from the markets of Santa Pola and Denia: red and white shrimp, the highest-quality quisquilla (tiny grey shrimp), salted fish from Vicente Leal, wild tuna or the splendid tomatoes from Muchamiel. Vicente’s montaditos (sandwiches) are legendary; among them is the one that bears the restaurant’s name and that has become a classic: Piripi (pork loin, bacon, tomato and cheese). David Valero has put together a wine list that is remarkable for its variety of labels.
