Quality Wines Farringdon

Four nights a week, Quality Wines, the Quality Chop House’s wine shop, morphs into a cramped wine bar. It’s a simple setup: chef Nick Bramham at the counter; weekly menu on the board; candles stuck in bottles. You pick your wine from the shelves for £15 corkage or sample the day’s pours, perhaps St. Emilion, a Slovakian Tokaj or Luxembourgish Riesling. The menu lists barely a half dozen dishes – for example, white asparagus vinaigrette, lamb shoulder and lentils, or lasagna bianca supplemented by charcuterie, gildas, focaccia and cannoli.
