Retrovino
Rome, Italy
It was in 2015 that Alessandro Miocchi and Giuseppe Lo Iudice opened Retrobottega, a Parisian-style neo-bistro, which had a “coolness” factor that made it super popular with young foodies. Theirs was a cuisine that displayed talent and inventiveness, so much so that, in 2018, Retropasta was born, and then, in 2019, Retrovino, a café open from early in the morning until midnight, focusing on artisanal coffee and natural wines. The bistro menu borrows from its big brother: think donkey meat tartare with avocado and nuts or quadrucci all’uovo, a fresh pasta with Jerusalem artichoke cream and roasted mushrooms.
