River Café

When Ruth Rogers and the late Rose Gray opened the River Cafe in 1987, the approach they brought to running a restaurant – quality seasonal Italian ingredients; short, simple menu items written by hand; and most importantly, pride in doing little, rather than more – set an example for countless London restaurants that followed. They maintain the same passionate devotion to produce, which means you can find some of the city’s best Italian food at this riverside perch, along with a wine list that includes some eclectic bottles.
