At this family run restaurant/hotel, Thomas Schanz’s blends French haute cuisine with Mosel tradition at this elegant dining room that offers views of the surrounding vineyards. His menu features a skyscraper of goose liver with grapefruit, wild herb ice cream, pastis and old gouda cheese, gratinated coalfish with radishes, cardamom, black tea essence and rosemary water and souffléed challans quail breast with parsley in a mushroom coat, carrot tartlets and small chips. The wine list is outstanding, anchored by Mosel Rieslings, alongside Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Champagne.
