La Terrazza

This charming fishing village turned into a happy resort town is la dolce vita as its best. The Belmond Hotel Splendido has a terrific view over the postcard-perfect piazzetta and a very good restaurant to boot. Despite the proximity of the sea, the menu is balanced between fish and meat, as is traditional in Liguria, where the mountains are never far from water. The menu features elevated comfort food, such as roasted farm chicken with rosemary and red garlic from Vessalico, spaghetti with fresh tomatoes from San Marzano and crunchy king prawns with saffron and tarragon mayo.
