Set up like a sushi bar, with guests seated at a counter facing the chef, Di Martino Sea Front Pasta Bar was created by Giuseppe di Martino, a third-generation pastaio (pasta maker) in Gragnano. Thanks to the supervision of pasta afficionado Peppe Guida, chef of the wonderful Nonna Rosa on the Amalfi Coast, this is the ideal place for an in-depth study on how different pasta shapes interact with different sauces: from a ragù to a classic Genovese (a sauce of long-cooked onions with just a little meat). Don’t leave without trying the “Devotion,” a lyrical name for the perfect spaghetti al pomodoro.
