Zafferano

Zafferano opened in 1995 on a busy corner in Belgravia, and its wide-ranging Italian menu still pulls in regulars with its focus on house-made pasta and classical, even old-school dishes. Veal Milanese or monkfish in Parma ham might follow squid-ink pasta, or try the wild-mushroom pappardelle with a signature saffron risotto that echoes the restaurant’s name. The wine list is predictably heavy on Italian, with a fine balance of small, lesser-known producers and prestige labels.
